THE NEXT FREE HARD WASTE DISPOSAL WEEK

Hard Waste Disposal

You can take your hard waste during this week to the Streaky Bay Waste Transfer Station or the Cungena Landfill Site (by appointment only, please call EP Recycling on 0429 230 030) for FREE disposal.

Quantity allowable is one cubic metre (about a 6x4 trailer filled to the level of normal height sides (no cage) or a 3 seater lounge or 2 x refrigerators.

PLEASE NOTE: HARD WASTE IS DEFINED AS ITEMS THAT CANNOT FIT IN YOUR REGULAR BIN, I.E. FRIDGES, WASHING MACHINES, ETC. AS PER LIST BELOW.
YOUR GENERAL HOUSEHOLD WASTE IS NOT HARD WASTE AND WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED 'FOR FREE' DURING THIS WEEK.

If you require assistance transporting your waste to either site, please call the Infrastructure and Civil Works Department to discuss alternate options on (08) 8626 1001.

Please Note:- Clean green waste, steel and car batteries are free to deliver to both sites at any time throughout the 2022/2023 financial year.

Also please note that large quantities of cardboard will not be free in the current 2022/2023 financial year - please refer to the2022/2023 Fees and Charges.

Businesses are entitled to and encouraged to participate in the hard waste disposal week (the same disposal amounts and conditions apply to those of households).
