COMMUNITY GRANTS SCHEME

Applications are NOW OPEN under the District Council of Streaky Bay 2017 Community Grants Scheme.

Mayor Barber stated that "This provides another opportunity for community groups and clubs within our district to apply for project support".

This Community Grants Scheme provides grants of up to $2,000 per applicant.  Applications will be decided upon by a full panel of Council in mid September 2017, and successful applicants notified by late September 2017.

Community groups and clubs can access documentation, including the application form, guidelines, checklist and an evaluation form when considering if they wish to apply.  All forms are available at the front desk of the District Council of Streaky Bay and the Streaky Bay Visitor Information Centre, or can be downloaded by clicking here

Applications for the Community Grant Scheme close at 5.00pm on Friday 1 September 2017.

Signed hardcopies with support material are accepted (although an electronic version can be lodged in addition to the hardcopy).

PROFILE

Location of Streaky BayThe District Council of Streaky Bay is located some 720 kilometres by road from Adelaide on the picturesque shores of Blancheport. It is situated on the West Coast of Eyre Peninsula in South Australia and is surrounded by some of the region's most spectacular and unique coastal attractions and experiences. The Council shares its boundaries with the District Councils of Ceduna in the North West, Ananga Pitjantjatjara Lands in the north east, Wudinna in the east and Elliston in the south.

The Council area includes the townships of Streaky Bay (which is the main service and business centre), Wirrulla, Poochera, Haslam, Sceale Bay, Baird Bay, Eba Anchorage, and Perlubie Landing, covering an area of 6,232 kms with a population of approximately 2,200.
