Share Your Input: District Council of Streaky Bay Community Vision 2045
Overview
After every Council election, the District Council of Streaky Bay reviews its strategic framework to align with the Local Government Act 1999 (SA). This year, we're taking a new approach by developing a long-term 20-year strategic plan, Community Vision 2045, along with a short-term 4-year strategic plan, the Council Plan. We invite you to contribute your input for the District Council of Streaky Bay Community Vision 2045.
About the Vision
The Community Vision 2045 captures the hopes and aspirations of our district, ensuring a bright future for everyone. This plan will outline our current position and our goals for the coming decades. Led by the District Council of Streaky Bay, the plan demonstrates how our community can work together towards shared goals and address the district's needs both now and in the future. It will guide strategic planning and decision-making for the District Council of Streaky Bay through the development of the Council Plan 2024-2028 and beyond.
Why a 20-Year Plan?
Big changes and impactful ideas often take time to implement. A 20-year timeframe is usually necessary for generational shifts, allowing substantial progress. This long-term perspective reflects the visionary nature of comprehensive community planning. The plan will be reviewed annually and adjusted as goals are met and new ideas emerge with the next generation of community leaders.
How This Plan Differs

It reflects the community’s aspirations for the future of our district. This plan focuses on what the District Council of Streaky Bay should look like in 20 years and sets priorities that will guide both Council and community decisions.
