Seeking Engagement: Join the Strategic Plan Community Reference Group
The District Council of Streaky Bay invites residents to express their interest in becoming members of a Community Reference Group (CRG) aimed at providing valuable insights and guidance for its Strategic Plans.
Following each Council election, a review of strategic objectives is mandatory. As part of this review, two key documents will be crafted: a Community Vision 2040, reflecting collective community goals and addressing current and future needs, and the District Council of Streaky Bay Strategic Plan 2025 – 2029, outlining priority actions over a four-year span, aligning with the community vision. This entails both a long-term and short-term strategic plan.
Integral to shaping the Community Vision is the formation of a dedicated Community Reference Group. This group will actively engage in co-design workshops alongside Council staff and Councillors to influence the community vision. Thus, expressions of interest are sought from community members to join this pivotal reference group.
We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals who:
- Reside or work within the District of Streaky Bay.
- Possess a strong understanding of the region and a desire to enhance it.
- Demonstrate interest in social, economic, and/or environmental issues.
- Have connections to active community networks.
- Can commit to attending a series of workshops.
