🔥🚨 IMPORTANT DATE CHANGE ALERT! 🚨🔥

Hey there, everyone! We've got a critical update regarding the Fire Danger season. 🗓️📢

The Fire Danger season is now starting earlier than anticipated, kicking off on October 16th, 2023, and lasting until April 15th, 2024. It's time to get prepared and ensure the safety of your loved ones and property. 🔥💪

Here's your checklist of actions to take:

  • Prepare Your Fire Breaks: Ensure your fire breaks are in top-notch condition. Clear, spray, and trim as needed to create a safe buffer zone.
  • Remove Flammable Piles: Get rid of any flammable materials or debris from your property to reduce the risk of fire.
  • Properties Under 0.5Ha: Clear and slash undergrowth to a maximum of 100mm across the entire block where possible.
  • Properties Over 0.5Ha: Establish a 20-meter fuel reduction zone around houses, a 5-meter fuel reduction zone around other buildings, and a 4-meter fuel reduction zone around the perimeter of your block. Make sure all undergrowth is slashed/mowed to a maximum height of 100mm within these zones.

Council inspections are scheduled for October, so don't procrastinate—take action now! Landowners who fail to comply will receive hazard reduction notices.
