EPRAP - Expressions of Interest - Independent Member and Deputy Independent Member

The City of Port Lincoln (as host Council) in conjunction with the District Councils of Ceduna, Cleve, Elliston, Franklin Harbour, Kimba, Lower Eyre Council, Tumby Bay, Streaky Bay and Wudinna, is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified and experienced professionals to fill two vacant positions on the Eyre Peninsula Regional Assessment Panel (EPRAP), being an Independent Member and a Deputy Independent Member.

The EPRAP was established in 2020, covering the ten (10) council areas listed above on the Eyre Peninsula. It is responsible for assessing a wide range of Development Applications against the provisions of the Planning and Design Code created via the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016 (the PDI Act).

The successful appointees will have applicable skills and knowledge in urban and regional planning and be at least Level 2 Accredited Professionals pursuant to the PDI Act. Appointees to the EPRAP may be subject to Ministerial Approval.

EPRAP meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 5.30pm at the City of Port Lincoln Council Chamber in Port Lincoln. There is also capability for Panel Members to attend meetings via online means.

Expressions of Interest are sought from accredited professionals. Experience in regional planning and/or on the Eyre Peninsula is strongly preferred but not essential. A remuneration fee of $500 is payable to Independent Members for each monthly meeting whether the meeting is held or not (and for meetings actually attended by the Deputy Independent Member when required).

Expressions of Interest for the positions should include certificate of accreditation, resume and covering letter, and should be forwarded to Ben Green, Regional Assessment Manager, City of Port Lincoln, Level One, 60 Tasman Terrace, Port Lincoln SA 5606 or eprap@plcc.sa.gov.auno later than 5.00pm on Friday 31st March 2023.
