Jetty Closure and Water Traffic Restrictions – Streaky Bay Fireworks
JETTY CLOSURE NOTICE
The Streaky Bay Jetty will be closed to the public for a fireworks display from 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 31 December 2024, until 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday, 1 January 2025. Please plan your activities accordingly.
WATER TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
In accordance with Section 26 of the Harbors and Navigation Act 1993, the Department for Infrastructure and Transport has issued an Aquatic Activity Licence to Bright Star Fireworks Pty Ltd for the Streaky Bay fireworks display.
Restricted Area:
An area of water within 300 metres either side of, and for the full length of, the Streaky Bay Jetty will be restricted during the following times for safety reasons:
- Tuesday, 31 December 2024: From 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, 1 January 2025: From 12:00 a.m. to 12:30 a.m.
During these periods, vessels and individuals not involved in the event are strictly prohibited from entering the restricted area.
