The Criterion - Editorial
The Criterion is a free monthly community newsletter and is open for anyone to place items of interest in. The first Criterion was printed in December 2000. It is published and printed by the District Council of Streaky Bay at the Visitor Centre
The name "The Criterion" comes from the Criterion Hotel built in Streaky Bay in 1867 and situated on Bay Road. Criterion meaning 'principal, standard, a thing is judged by'.
The newsletter is now designed by the Community Information Officers at the Visitor Centre, so please call in and discuss any community news or ideas you would like submitted.
Advertising space is available in the monthly editions for a fee. Approximately 550 newsletters are printed each month and distributed in Streaky Bay and the surrounding district.
