Wells Street, Streaky Bay
(From the Kiosk Carpark to AB Smith Road)
(Approximately 300m)

Please be advised that the undergrounding of power lines along this section of Wells Street will commence on Monday 20th May 2019.

We appreciate your patience whilst this upgrade is taking place and to observe traffic signs and speed limits to ensure the safety of yourself and those working on the project.

Also be advised that the footpath from the kiosk carpark to AB Smith Road will closed and pedestrian access will be diverted to the caravan park side of Wells Street.

Speed Humps

At the recent Community Forums, residents from the townships of PERLUBIE LANDING, EBA ANCHORAGE, HASLAM and SCEALE BAY raised concerns regarding motorists exceeding the speed limits in these townships.

The residents raised the possibility of the installation of speed humps within the townships.

Prior to Council undertaking the installation of speed humps, we are seeking your thoughts?

Finlayson Road Intersection Upgrade

Council have been pursuing the joint upgrade of the Finlayson Road / Eyre Highway for the past 24 months with staff liaising with the Department of Planning Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) to develop a proposal for the upgrade of the intersection that will improve sight distances, and Heavy Vehicle Movements onto and off of the Eyre Highway.

Plans have been developed and Council are now seeking the Community’s feedback.

Tourism Strategy Development

The District Council of Streaky Bay have collated all the feedback received from the Tourism Strategy Community Engagement Phase and this information will be used to formulate the Draft Tourism Strategy.

The Draft Tourism Strategy will be presented to Council's Community and Economic Development Committee Meeting on 23 May 2019.
